Check out nmdualsport.org, "Ride Report", "Deming to Silver City, Day 1 and Beyond" to see what I am doing with my winter down in New Mexico . It has cool video of what terrain is like down here.

There is one in the Western Michigan thread for June. http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...48084&page=187 I plan on riding the GS if everything works out. 2100 miles in a week so it shouldn't be too bad.

If you do go to the Eastern Seaboard, are you planning on the northeast or further south? I enjoyed my ride in August of 2010 through the white mountains of New Hampshire. Mount Washington is a great place to ride to the top of as long as the weather is good. Also US route 1 along the coastline of Maine has some nice views and plenty of lighthouses along the way. I took that route and started from Lubec, Maine which is the eastern most point in the USA.

Northeast. Not a fan of the south. Driven rt1 once before, love the opportunity to tour those tiny town on the bike. Not to mention the lobsta rolls ...

My riding partner George and I will likely run down to SE Ohio in June for our annual running of the sectional roads down there. Pretty much a can't miss if you use Warsaw or Athens for a base. Till May I am still doing NM. Did you catch the nmdualsport video BMWGrrl? Will for sure see you guys at a RTE or two this year. The WeeStrom always feels neglected after the winter. Chow always great around A2. Any of you been out to Bradfords in Gregory yet speaking of chow?

Ordering some new TKC's & tubes ... Anyone interested in showing me how to change tires? Am a Master Tech for pedal bikes, but just have been a little leery of doing it myself. Don't need a wheel coming off at an inopportune moment ... Thanks

I have a tire changing machine and a balancer. Easy Peezy. Nice little ride over from A2. PM me if you want to set it up.

Going to Alaska starting first week in June. Don't know how adventurous my buddy and I will get. He rides a Harley Ultra Classic and certainly won't be looking for dirt and gravel on purpose. Because of that, I'm planning on taking my 1600 GTL.

We'll head over to Seattle first and then up to Palmer, AK (just north of Anchorage) for the 2012 Alaska H.O.G. State Rally on the 21st - 23rd. The rest of the trip is kinda nebulous as is the route back.

We plan on taking 6 to 8 weeks and covering 12,000 to 13,000 miles
