DeeGee & Jacks European Adventure Part 2
Hey guys
![]() Jack and I will be catching the ferry from Hull in the UK to Zebrugge Belgium and heading off into Europe for almost three weeks. to say we can't wait is an understatement. Our last trip we did to celebrate my 40th birthday on our mighty Katoom details of that trip can be found hereThis was the steed. ![]() Sadly not long after we returned some low life scrotes had it away We didn't venture abroad the following year as I got a new steed and worked like mad to pay it off. This is the new Katoom. ![]() My missus and partner in crime; Jack ![]() Me; DG AKA Gav ![]() So that's the introduction done. The only thing we have booked is the ferry, on the last trip we did I personally wanted to visit Poland, Auschwitz in particular, I'm not entirely sure why the only reason I can think is (long story short) that a few years ago we made a trip to France to visit the war memorials and beaches etc. here and maybe to visit Auschwitz is making a full circle? Like I say I'm not 100% sure why, but I want to go and that's where we are going. Also in the city of Krakow there is an amazing salt mine which I have heard of and seen on TV which we would like to visit and while we are there we will take in the Oscar Schindler Museum.Once we have visited these places in Poland the plan is to chase the sun for the rest of the trip. We have nothing booked and nothing planned, we will be carrying our tent and camping gear on the bike. I must "fess" up we're not real wealthy folk and we have both been working hard to save and I've been working two jobs to pay for this trip, every penny we have buried away in this little tin we bought just after Christmas. ![]() ![]() Last night was the time to open it up ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Once we counted up the cash we had.......? Well I've just had a thought! The guys on this site have been invaluable for me and I've been lucky and made some real good friends, so a little fun is in order. If you can guess how much is exactly in the tin whoever guesses right, to the nearest £ I'll send you a little something from our trip Hopefully enough for a real good time ![]() Watch this space.......

Great start. Hope you have a good trip. I could do with one of those tins because at the moment we use a coffee jar but it's too easy to unscrew the lid and borrow a tenner. Needless to say it rarely goes back in.

Cheers fellas, been busy cleaning and polishing the bike today, put the SW Motech crash bars back on and as I type I'm copying the bike documents.
One more night shift to work and then it's a matter of loading up the mighty Katoom and hitting the road ![]() Can't wait, it's been a long time coming. |
