cstain, thanks for that, that just made me laugh my ass off. Especially the great power comes great responsibility type shit......... actually I'm not sure which one made me laugh more..... Funny thing is, I like granola, especially since it's healthy for you. Oh, and I don't wear wool socks, synthetics man! This isn't the '60's you know. As far as Birks, used to have them, maybe again in the future... Preferred sandal are Keens, best sandal I've ever owned! And you would have to be kind of dense to piss up a rope, perhaps you have experience in this. And I don't have a devil may care lifestyle. I do care, but just not really about the convention you're trapped in!! Life is way too short for that crap!!!

Your post came across as look at me look at me. Condescending and smug, the cat asked for recommendations on a tough wristwatch and you inform us of your wonderful life style and no need for a watch. You cant be as simple minded as you sound.

I wear a watch because I like time keepers, not because I'm rushing around trying to meet some dead line, about the only time it gets used is to know when to call the grand kids after they are out of their classes.

I have had one of those $8.99 timex from Walmart mounted on my Quad for years. Just stick some velcro on the back and hook it anywhere. If the battery goes dead just replace the watch (about the same price).
Also had one of those fake Rolex mounted to the bow of my Bass Boat the same way but someone "Stole" it as they must have needed a fake Rolex more than I did. Replaced it with another Timex three or four years ago. "Keep's on Tick'n"... as they say.
Now my "Trail Tech Endurance II" has me covered on the XR400.

I'm not trapped in any convention. After 17 years of working in Emergency Services, and almost 30 years as a diabetic, a watch is part of who I am. I use it to manage my health and I use one to perform my duties.

You are right - life is too short. Welcome to my ignore list.

Good 4 U! Maybe the FF will go troll somewhere else. Did he not know it's a watch thread? Of course he did....

Say that ain't so!!! Don't sell a good Omega Seamaster!!! Even if you can't read it, it still carries some character, right?

My Dad wears a Seamaster, I the Speedmaster...nothing beats a nice watch.

I second Tuono. Need to see the time? Check your phone! The Speedy is much more than a tool to tell time.
To the OP, I would suggest a titanium Seiko on a NATO bracelet or Zulu with fat spring bars. Wanna spend some $ go witha Rolex Explorer II same setup: NATO or Zulu and just stay on top of the bars.6

Rolex Submariner-78 model

I just sold this watch to finance a KTM 990SD, well part purchase !! It sat in a drawer because in the neighbourhood I used to live I didn't risk wearing it out and riding a motorcycle with the risk of damage it wasn't worth it. So i wore my ultra reliable Seiko Divers watch.Going well into older age, 70 assets not producing a sensual experience are being sold off.

Bucket racing is low key but very competitive on the track and co-operative in the paddock. Most people will help where they can and competitors help run the meeting.
