Some parts and work...

New triple clamps to donate a stem and perhaps the fat bar clamps...

Changing the bearings on the new wheel (1999 SX 250)

New bearings and new rotor mounted... tell me that isn't sweet!

As a quick update, my triples are done and on their way back to me with the stem machines, pressed in and the BMW bearing on.

All parts will be in hand shortly, with the exception of the three brackets I will need to fab to run the stock headlight unit on these triples.

The weather in Seattle just decided to be good for the next week or so, finishing the project may just have to wait for fall to roll in!

I did not put much thought into it but I am currently the high bidder.

Are any of the triple clamps still available? I ran pretty low on funds for my GS project and was unable to take part in the Group Buy..... 2 BMW motorbike restorations and 7 vintage cars have been taking all my spare cash

What happened to the "buy it now" option?

Can you change horses mid-stream like that?

Buy it Now disappears once the first bid is placed. Currently kicking myself for not taking advantage of another Buy it Now deal.

It did not used to be this way. I once had two bidders competing for an item I put up for bid. They raced each other to more than $100 OVER the "buy it now" price! When it was done, the winning bidder emailed me saying, "I did a dumb thing didn't I?!?" Um.....yeah!
Being a terminal softy, I was going to cut him a deal, but he had already sent the money, and said it was "a cheap lesson"

50mm extreme tuning thread

Hey Solo,
as I just posted in the triple group buy thread,
I've just started a thread over in thumpers trying to gather a bit of wisdom about re-springing and valving of these forks for heavier bikes.
here it is
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...6#post16884726

hopefully we can get a bit of discussion and knowledge pool happening,
Cheers,
looking forward to some updates,
