Chix in Stix Ride 4

OK, finally time for the Chix in Stix 4 RR.....
Sorry there has been a time lapse but the Flinders Ranges called and we obeyed! - had a great 11 days on the bikes, so now back home etc etc....

C in S 4 began with a Friday night gathering Chez Mel & Jude - but no pics were taken that night....too busy eating, laughing, watching "Ladies on the Loose" and celebrating Mel's birthday!
But Saturday a.m. with the arrival of Schevy and the Sherco the bikes were gathered and ready to set off for the days adventure!

Sueurchin, Miss Jane and Schevy ready to go...

HelenMary getting togged up...

Mel sort of ready.....mmm....ATGATT Mel!!!!!

Mel's F650GS was sporting a mod. to accommodate her gear changing problems after foot surgery - rocker lever to the rescue!

A short ride through some bush tracks found us at lunch - more eating , more laughter - no videos however and Mel was a day older....

The afternoon got more interesting and Miss Jane excelled herself yet again with a great route...
Mel and SHRPA

First river crossing for the day - Jude and "Ducky"

Time for a break and re-group...

...and time for chocolate....

...preview of scenes to come mid-afternoon...yes, that is a Miss Jane demolishing a choc. bar....

...too much chocolate can lead to bad things tho'!!!!! - oops.....

Be warned there are frightening scenes to come.....

Afternoon tea was at the "Chocolate Mill", just outside Daylesford, all was looking well as we sat down to taste their wares...

But strange things happen to certain women when they comsume this chocolate stuff...

..they sort of zone out....

...or do yoga in the carpark...

...let alone stagger back to their bikes...

...at least Mel and Schevy seem to have survived the ordeal by chocolate...just...

The rest of the afternoon took on a bit more of a serious note with Miss Jane, GS Dane and Sueurchin taking off on a track that Miss Jane had only ridden the first half of, so tales that night around the table of death defying riding feats... you know how it goes....
The rest of us had headed back Chez Mel & Jude and Mel put on another great feast!

Oooh, Miss Jane that was fun!!!! - I'm smiling so much I am not going to take my goggles off for the picture!

So at the end of Satuday it was time for Schevy to ger her esky out and no, not chocolate this time...

For the last part of the weekend we had the use of 70 acres of bushland to "play" in and chix being chix that is what we did!

Sueurchin on one of the XT225's - inspired, obviously, by "Lois on the Loose"...

Miss Jane on the XT, get that front wheel off the ground, go,go!!!!!!

And how is this to finish off a fine weekend...
Mel, whose foot was too sore to ride that day, bought us all out picnic lunch complete with picnic rug...

MANY thanks to Dorthe for doing all the pictures!
THANKS to all the Chix for another great time!
GREAT to have Schevy along for her first Chix event!
GREAT to have Mel actually riding this time! - not just being road crew.

Now for Chix in Stix 5.......

Love to see women on dualsports!!! Very nice!

Mel, your mod on the shifter is ingenious! It really downshifts (edit I mean up shifts) by pressing the back side? Great!

Thanks Jude for a wonderful first part RR... It is always wonderful to stroll back down memory lane (even though only about 5 weeks ago!).

Hey... as I recall it we were actually heading uphill... that is in the opposite direction of your bike, Jane - yeah, it must have been the fourth chocolate flipping the bike all the way around 180deg.

...or do yoga in the carpark...

....
... fantastic picture I just had to quote it

Hmmm... I don´t recall that airy stuff... maybe just on a rock? But looks ok...

Thanks for more great pictures, Schevy.
And indeed, looking forward to riding and laughing with you again... and all other Chix

Cheers - Dorthe.

good show, Chix

You peeps will be an inspiration to my Sheila. I'll be sure she sees this trip report.

BTW, I'd ride a few hundred miles for good chocolate too!

Most of us run on high octane chocolate, but Dorthe runs on nitrous

Chevy thanks for posting your pics, you got some rippers.

Bring on the next Chix ride, what sort of food/drink shall we focus on next time??? Actually Jardine has offered to lead a ride in the high country in spring. She's an awesome rider and a very good, but humble teacher. I'm very keen.

Yesturday Jude, Mel, Dorthe and I were throwing around the idea of a chocolate lap of Australia, on the dirt of course.
