Good morning Red Lodge, MT. Just had breakfast, french toast... :)

The weather is looking much better today. A few miles south of Red Lodge on 212.

This place is amazing, working our way back up the Bear Tooth.

"Hi-vis" on my six.

BoomBostic - The look-out on the way up.

What a view, the road back to Red Lodge.

What a great road, if you haven't ridden it, you should.

Working our way to the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway, it's out there somewhere.

It's a lot warmer today.

BoomBostic and Hi-vis looping back around.

What an unforgettable day.

What an awesome road.

From the look out near the top.

What a beauty. Sorry, I didn't take as many pics of the Chief, our pace required all my attention.

Dear Unknown Stranger,

It was not my intention to scare the crap out of you by accidentally honking my horn 5 feet from your back while you were enjoying such a beautiful view.

The horn button, my finger and tank bag weren't getting along as I pulled in.

You hurried off so quickly I never had to chance to apologize. I'm truly sorry.

Whooo Hooo!

Took a break from the traffic jams to visit the falls. Yellowstone is beautiful but there is a lot of traffic in the popular areas especially when there are animals.

Trying to escape, I took this pic right before BoomBostic couldn't take it anymore and drove up the wrong side of the road.

It's been a long wonderful day. A nice view of the "Grand Teton" I stood on top 2008, that was a long walk.

Day 3 - Jackson to Salt Lake City.

I'm not sure why but I only took a few pics of day 3, I suppose after the last two being so amazing I was just riding home at that point. It was a nice ride home. We stopped in Victor ID and had a nice breakfast, french toast, of course

yee haww..

So that was the Bear Tooth ride. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Motorcycling...

My Dad is to blame for my interest in motorcycling, he started pretty young, this is a Harley he owned when he was a young buck.

My Pop, rippin it up!

The Lambretta. The first two wheeled clutched machine I learned to ride, I popped two wheelies by accident my Dad on the back kept us upright, I must have been 14 or so. The clutch and shifting was done with the same hand.

1984 Honda Intecepter 500. My first very own motorcycle (circa 1994)

The Honda quit running after a few years, I still have it, one day I might try to get it running again. Anyway, so in 2002 I had the itch again and bought this Honda Shadow 750. I drove it for 5 years mostly around town, it wasn't until I rode it 150 miles at once did I come to the conclusion that a cruiser bike wasn't for me. So in 2007 I bought the Yamaha FJR.

After lurking here [ADV] for a few years I decided that I wanted to do some "adventure" riding, for me that meant off the pavement, so in 2010 BoomBostic (my neighbor) and I both bought 2009 Kawasaki KLR's.

And so, here I am, sharing with you all.

2009 VFRD (Honda VFR Discussion) Group Meet, Dillon Co

My Uncle rides a Honda VFR 800 and invited me to the VFRD group meet in Dillon, CO. So my Uncle, Bob and myself made a week out of it.

I had some family obligations and couldn't leave until a day later so I caught up with them in Montecello Ut.

Day 1 - Sunday a nice 377 miles, that's about perfect for me, mad props to you IB riders. I got off to a late start and ended up doing the last 50 miles in the dark. The really disappointing thing was while I was on I-70 I was witnessing one of the most spectacular sunsets I'd ever seen, so I pull over to take a pic and realize I had left the camera battery

in the charger at home. It wasn't until a day or so later I was able to purchase, I mean mortgage, a new one. So no pics of the first day... I guess I'll just have to do it again :)

Stayed at a nice KOA in Gunnision, it was a bit chilly in the morning and woke up to this.

Nice place to stay.

Camp, yes we all have the same tent.

Hwy 92 - One of the "most fun" roads we rode, they were all amazing by the way.

Hwy 92 - It was Wednesday and I don't remember seeing anyone, we had the place to ourselves.

Hwy 92, destination lunch in Hotchkiss then Dillon.

After lunch in Hotchkiss, near Redstone on Hwy 133.

For DP.

Arrived safely in Dillon as with the rest of the VFR crew.

RMNP - Beautiful road and scenery, but it's crowded.

RMNP pit stop.

Mountains are awesome.

RMNP - Nice day for a ride.

Nice scenic road but, don't even think about speeding through there, I was going the speed limit and still had a ranger point at me.

Why are mountains so cool?

Nice.
