Lone!!!!!!

Great ride report, my man. Had me laughing out loud more than once. I'm using one of your pictures as my desktop...hope that's cool, ha.

I got your message about this year's trip....will get back to you. Hopefully we'll get to meet up this time.

And about dual sports not being good in the twisty pavement bits, that's just not true....I wouldn't do a track day on a dual sport but with a good rider they can move pretty good. Even full knobby tires on the pavement don't ruin the pavement fun. SO this is good news for you....

Hey Defy, haha thanks man.

If I get that 650GS and bring it down to your area I expect you to make it out.

Also, if anyone wants high-def versions of any of these images PM me your email and I will email you the image file.

Awesome ride report. I am planning a trip of my own this summer and you've given me more confidence in taking my FZ6 off the paved road.

That is unless I run into an angry mama bear.

Not sure how much it would help you, but you also might want to investigate some crash bars of some sorts.

And don't underestimate the fun you can have on a "non-sport bike." Admittedly it was partially (entirely) because I was cheap (hell, all but broke!), I have had quite a blast on old, not-for-twisties bikes in the twisties.

Popularity (or infamy?) is a bitch, ain't it?

And that's a monthly quota, right?

(Heck, I'm just glad I got in before that happened. Selfish little prick I am. )

It better be a monthly quota. I am going to bump the thread when they come back. I might upgrade to pro....maybe.

But yeah, I thought about engine guards.....but I can't mount them. The bolts where they would be attached on one side are ground off due to the bike being slid down the pavement at speed.....with me following hot on its heels....haha.

The pictures are working again. I will upload half of them to another photobucket account to spread out the bandwidth if this happens again.

thanks man!

This year I want to come as far as Mexico but the budget will decide. It looks like I will only be able to make it as far as Oregon. Next year I will be doing Mexico for sure though.
