Lunch time works better for me too. I work 'til 7 PM on Tuesdays and the ride to Mr, Bones is about 30-40 minutes from work. I can do a long lunch though.

ditto that

Maybe QM can just hang there for lunch and dinner?
If you rode a few gazzillion miles, maybe you should reward yourself and work through their menu...

Excellent point - they have too much good stuff for just one sitting. I'll be there at 1pm and 7pm on Tuesday, March 1st.

I've been real tempted to do the ride back in two days just to see if I can still do that sort of thing, so I'll want to start out at 0'dark:30 fully rested anyway.

Is it just going to be Quickmule, Flash, and myself at lunchtime?

Oh well, more for us

Had lunch with QuickMule and Krautbikeman this afternoon. QM rides thousand's of miles and he's on time. KBM rides 200 miles across the state for lunch, and he's on time. Me? I'm 20 miles away and I'm late.

Those two polished off heapin' helpin's of ribs.

Dinner was very good too. It was me, Quickmule, Knick, the zip, and lurking Jim. Great to meet some folks in the flesh.

As I write this Quickmule is riding his way back through florida to AZ, knick is probably out riding, zip, jim, and me are safely back in our cubes, working (or surfing the advrider site ??).

Agreed good folks , good food and nice ride across the bridge to get there. Real hard combo to beat. My first time on Amelia Island , pretty neat.

A right tasty trip indeed - Thanks everybody for joining me there, it was great to meet you all! I'd have checked in sooner but I had a big pile of stuff waiting for me when I got back over the weekend. Rather than try and make it back in 48hrs, I stayed an extra day in New Orleans for more good food and thus managed to window through most of the truly nasty weather that was rolling over the gulf states except for two brief but exceptionally intense storms, one just East of San Antonio, and the other (complete with marble-size hail) hanging over the Continental Divide in New Mexico. I also got a "performance award" to the tune of $175 just outside of Ft. Stockton, Texas. All in all a great way to spend a week off.
