Between being lazy (I am in Kuwait and I hate calling back to the US in the evenings just to talk to someone for a product) and hoping to trust you (how long are your legs - inseam?) I may just go with your recommendation.

My inseam is about 30" on a tall day, 29" on the rest, ha ha. I'll probably put the Yama link on, but I don't get weird with the bike at full height either (I also ride a GS).

I am not certain if the standard (above bar) mount will be available in this order but you can ask James at Renazco Racing, he is organizing the group buy on the vendor side.

Renazco Racing info:
ADV Inmate Handle: Renazco Racing Store
Phone: (707) 902-DIRT

I am also 5' 8" and riding with the yamalink... When I stand up with the stock bars they are just a hair low so a raise will be perfect. The sub mount will raise the bars about 1 inch (20-25mm). If you plan on doing a lot of standing riding (like I do...) raising the bars will work out great!

CRAP... I ordered one for my WR250R last week, it's sitting on my bench ready for install.

It looks like I should have procrastinated one more week

My inseam is ridiculously short for the bikes I ride (F800GS and the WR250R), I'm around 28". The best test for if you can use a bar riser is to ride standing up and manipulating the controls. If you have to lean forward or if your arms are fully extended to reach the controls you may want the bars a bit higher. Ideally you want your arms bent slightly at the elbows with the legs bent slightly during standing position riding... I'm no expert by any means but this is what people have told me and my own experience.

On my F8 I have the low seat so this effectively puts the bars in a higher position relative to my seating. I needed them a bit higher to get to the controls and after raising the bars with the low seat it really felt high when I was sitting. I have gotten used to it and it feels really comfortable in all positions!

Don't want to pressure anyone into a different mod than they intend but there is also another benefit to the sub mount... more room over the bars for GPS, SPOT, cameras, etc etc.

Handlebar height doesn't have a lot to do with leg length. It is more related to torso/arm length. If you are long from the waist up, a little extra height on the handlebars is always a good thing.

Great! OK, everyone logged up until this afternoon who has responded, 21 units so far!!

To answer your question about the risers, they are included with the kit!

The top clamps are also included with the kit, and of course the mounting hardware to the stock triple clamp...
