So you think you can have all of this done by say the first weekend in February of 2013? You can show us all how purty your bike is and how fast it is right here http://sandblastrally.linaracing.com/2012/ I'm sure Max will give you plenty of cool stickers and buy ya dinner too, bet he'll even autograph your bike too!!!!!!!

My feelings are now so hurt by "THE AUTHORITY" the wife and I are going out for sushi in her Z4 si convertable. Maybe a little trigger time on the car's paddle shifters will cheer me up.

LOL I'm kidding

Not hard to do!

Jim

PS Looks great! I hope you enjoy a LOT of miles on it!

PPS For those of you who do not know, "SomeDude" is Bobby, formerly "BMWAtlanta" and associated with them. Draw your own conclusions from the fact!

If I understand well the last sentences, it seems that there is a bad competition between 2 dealers

I'm rebuilding a MM myself and I hope to have all the dealers to help me to finalize the job in the best way.

So, I'm not necessary linked to only one, I can find good infos or experience in each one.

I like the HP2E "Rallye" and I hope you will conclude the project in a good way with the support of all
the BMW dealers who exist only because customers buy their products.

Awsome picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are a lucky man to have three of these stallions in your stable. And all of them customized to your tastes. I am the same way. I don't give a fk if 3 or four guys dont like the red frame. Like I said before, I always admired Ducati's design tastes and colors, hence the color scheme of my HP. What could be better, German engineering-Ducati styling/colors.

(new for 2012 gs with a red frame-now that looks awful cuz the rest of the colors don't compliment it)

If a BMW owner wants his bike OEM and looking like all the others it's his perogative. I like my bikes to stand out in a crowd. Take a look at the ZRX1200r beside my HP. That thing was wrecked and was lime green with purple and white stripes (gross). It was voted bike of the month on the zrx forum and nominated for bike of the year.

It's one thing to walk into a dealer and stroke a check and ride home-get on this forum and blast guys like me for doing projects like this at a more than considerable savings. It's a whole other thing to take a project like on.

It's cool if inmates don't feel the red color. The only person who has to is me

I agree with you, I don't like too much having the same bike as everybody.
But, I have the original parts also, to retrieve the bike as it was out of the shop.
It's easier to sell if necessary.

Mr Moose man. those colors are the best you're gonna get. get the gold gascap and the spiderweb CF frame covers. and the other guy who posted the 3 hp2's. You should get the headlight on the one in the back. in black/red would awesome on your bike.

I like it! As a complete mechanical know-nothing I appreciate even attempting to pull this off. Even if it doesn't pan out I'm sure you've learned a lot in the process. Can't wait to see the vid once you get it up and running.

I knew it was wise to subscribe to this thread, even to see the dizzing between two members. Quite missed that since the 8GS vs. 8XC.

You've done a great job, and the best way to show it to the skeptics is to make one hell of a youtube video
