I'm hoping to do a Death Valley ride in Feb. Load 2 bikes in my truck and drive to Vegas, buddy from LA flies in, we ride DV for a few days before loading the bikes up and driving to LA before heading back east a few days later. 14 day trip, 5 driving Xcountry (total, counting hotels), 3-4 in DV and the rest hanging out. Bikes will stay in LA for visits.

That's the plan..... lol
Threads like this have been a huge help, especially concerning what bikes to take. Looks like it's either full street (2 Zephyr 1100's)or street legal dirt (Transalp) and a Zephyr. Wish I had another dirt bike we could ride in the places the TA can go.

Thanks WS. I do love the amazing places we are able to ride. South- DV, East- Black Rock Desert, West- the ocean, North- Oregon backcounty. Thanks for the kind words. Maybe you'll make it out here one day.

Thank you for checking it out. I enjoy researching the history of these long ago places. It is quite possible that was a Borax team, it wasn't too far from Harmony Borax Works. I am pretty sure there was a stage stop in the area the photo was taken. Yes, better late than never!

We are lucky to live fairly close to so many different awesome places. Maryland, oh yes that would be quite a trek. I hope you get the chance to visit DV someday. Thanks for checking it out Vinbowie.

Our next trip will be on two Husky dual sports probably mid April, only 4 months to go. I am really looking forward to it. Sounds like you guys will have an awesome time, if all goes according to planned. February might be slightly chilly at night but still rad. Have fun!

Yeah, I would like another bike like the Transalp because I've seen some amazing dirt rides in threads and even though the roads look well graded, a 550+ pound air cooled Kawi on sport bike sized 17's doesn't look fun. But the dirt sections look absolutely amazing.........
