Pretty sure I stopped at the Lakeview inn when I lived in NOLA. My wife and I used to take long day trips to see the back country.

Enjoyed the pics. Haven't been down that way in over thirty years. Looks like I need to add it to my list!

N'Awlins Air Show

A few pics from the N'Awlins Air Show at New Orleans N.A.S.
It was definitely worth the ride over and the long wait in line.

Corvettes on display

Jet school bus

Jet truck

I think I might tag along with these guys if given the chance

Definitely do not want to tag along with this guy - the Red Bull aerobatic helicopter

"Whistling Death"

B-25

B-2 Stealth bomber - otherworldly looking ain't it?

Some excellent aerobatic pilots were on hand

And then there's these guys...

I don't care how many times I've seen the Blue Angels perform, and it's been quite a few, they're never anything less than awesome!

Hope ya'll enjoy the pics.

Great shots. I'm with you on the Blue Angels. Awesome. I need to take a P'cola ride to see what's new at the museum there. And, those Boucals < spelling > are one of the few choppers that can do inverted flight. Very ruff riding bird due to it's rotary system. Thanks for sharing.

I've ridden in the BO105 a time or two. So small and light, almost seems like I could pick the thing up by myself.

Quick spin on the 'Berg

Playing around on the dirt bike. Sorry for the lack of action shots; I ride alone most of the time.

My Husaberg FE501
I used to compete in hare scrambles in the late '70s & early '80s, then kind of got away from motorcycles altogether. Got into road bikes about 10 years ago and then found this FE501 dirt cheap a few years ago. I've got to say, it feels good to sling a leg over a big dirt bike once in a while. I was always a two stroke guy, but this thing's damned fast.

Still functional 30 year old High Points

There's a few miles of trails right out of my back yard. Not challenging, but better than nothing. Probably be under water in the coming weeks. Hopefully, my house won't be.

Nice bike. I hear you on the coming water level. Heard they are opening Morganza Saturday. Also, Vintage bike show at Southside Honda near Murice Saturday

They're trying to wash us away...

Took a ride today to look at the flooding in the area

This is what the Berwick waterfront looked like on 4/23

Same location 5/26

Bellview Front Street looking north

Pavilion at Belle River landing

Stopped at the Yellow Bowl Restaurant for lunch. Outstanding catfish po-boy. If you're in the Jeanerrette area try this place out.

Thanks for looking

Fortunately it hasn't been nearly as bad as originally forecast. In my area, our biggest concern was from backwater flooding, which so far hasn't materialized. As you can see Morgan City & Berwick are protected by very high flood walls, so direct flooding by the Atchafalaya River isn't really a problem. Only businesses on the river side of the flood wall have been affected so far.

What road is the restaurant on? I like going on the original 90 through there. Now 182. Love the old homes in Franklin.

It's on 182 between Baldwin & Jeanerette. Been operating for quite a long time.
