Between Devil Track Lake Road and the Caribou Trail, how about a detour to the Murmur Creek Road or the Mark Lake Road? I believe the latter is pass-able, and maybe the former too. Never gone across either one, although I did some work on one of them off the Caribou way back when, and delivered some logs for a fisheries project on the Murmur Ck Rd recently. I can find out more information from friends if interested.

You can show me the Wanless Road cut off then too, and maybe have treats at Trestle Inn or Finland. Or meet at Finland or Isabella and ride east/south or whatever from there. What's your proposal, tour guide?

Another hair brained idea; Wisconsin sand in the Bird Sanctuary near Gordon, then eat at Delta Diner. I've never been to DD.
I have had my jeep on those roads but its been quite a few years so that sounds like a wonderfull idea. Maybe start from Devils Track, hit those roads you mentioned, jump up to the grade, follow the wanless road and stop for a bite at the knotty pine in Isabella. Just a thought. Let's work on a date and work out the details after. Any one else available on a sat. in a few weeks?

Cool that you guys got a ride in last weekend. Before the rain/snow ?
I did just get rid of my little dual-sport. Until I get another, let me know of any paved rides. Thunder bay ? - Nace

Before and during the rain. It was a good test of my riding gear! Ran into a little snow/sleet sun morning past trail center. Welcome to the site.

Hmmm... My mom and stepdad live on Crystal Lake, on South Mail Road - after they retired they made a permanent residence out of what was our cabin (originally my step grampa's home). It can't be much more than a stones throw from your family cabin. ...small world.

Good luck with the building project. I know they're are real time vacuum.

That sounds like a good idea especially since I feel I have been giving the klr a little more attention than the other lately. i am open for any route. It might be fun to get away from Lake Superior though. your choice.

There's too much water in some places. We couldn't get to Otter Lake from the south, for example.

I was afraid that was going to be the case..I submerged my 450 going through a puddle just like that one 2 years ago. I was lucky enough that the bike didn't die or get stuck in that Loon shit.

We just putzed around without any real expectations. Put only 100 miles on the bikes.
