Considering Putin is an ex-Kgb agent, I certainly wouldnt want to be on his bad side, even if he didnt have his henchmen around. As for the trike, I would assume its the symbolism there. Trike = big, russians and even during the soviet times, big was badass. Therefor riding a trike is considered (by the average person?) as more badass than a bike.

Thumb Che ride

Love the Che ride Doug, and totally agree if you do it, it's got to be on a '39.

As usual I'll sit here sipping coffee watching every word living vicariously...

Awesome pictures

Cool RR. Doug, what kind of camera are you using? Awesome pictures! Hope to see you at Barbers Vintage Fest? Will the HD "Dirtster" be on display at Barbers's Museum?

Anyhow, I'd prefer a mostly complete non runner to rebuild, I dont want/cant afford a bike thats redone, plus, I want to make sure the rebuild is done right. Basketcase is ok also, and even just a motor frame would be a good start, but it has to be a '39 model, if Im gonna do it, I wanna do it right.

So keep me in mind if anyone has one rusting away in the garage

Thanks! Doug

Hey Doug,
A friend of mine is all into old British bike's and has workplace full of Norton's & stuff.
I'll ask him if he has a '39 Norton 500 stuck on the shelf somewhere...
You'll have to come to Belgium for it, but you know the way.

I'll ask a few friends of my grandpa, but don't expect quick results, this is not a rusty M72, which can be had easily.

Cheers,
Greg

I've sold both of mine (I had a Model 18 500 and a twin port Model 20) but I've still got some bits floating around, so keep me in mind and PM me with what you need (it's mainly small parts and NOS bits like cylinder sleaves, cables, etc.) if you find a bike. They're out there. Would make an excellent touring machine.
