Theres a lot of ruins along the road, most of the villages are dying, I guess when the USSR ended, & people found out they could leave, many did. I cant imagine it here in the winter!

At the cabin, there was a home made candle, from a soup can & animal fat. It worked good, until Max knocked it off the table. Haha

We all made it to the ferry, Tom & the others were already across. The ferry goes down the river about 15km, before docking on the other side.
Im feeling much better today, & starting to get the hang of riding on loose stones.

Another 20km, and then Khandyga! The road thru town is PAVED! WooHoo!
Can we just stay here?

Andrey was at this shop, getting his radiator fixed.
This is the last ‘civilization’ for a long time, so we hunt up some stores to stock up on food & stuff

Theres supposed to be a Gulag museum here, which I wanted to see. But as normal, no one knew where it was or even heard of it. Finally, after riding around looking & asking, and were finally directed to it. But, turns out it’s a geology museum, not gulag. But what the hell, I haven’t seen enough fucking rocks in the last week, may as well see some more.

I’d guess that the Khandyga Geology museum doesn’t get many visitors, as they were pretty amazed that we showed up.

It’s a must see! (if you are not tired of rocks by this point)

You were so close!

That Lenin statue outside the town hall is about 50 yards from the gulag museum.

No makings on it other than the socket sizes.

I've got one of those too. No idea where the hell it came from. Packed it for years on my Superglides. Damned handy.
