Late January in Cleveland - yep, this is one time I'm glad I'm not you. I lived up there in 2000-02 while working construction and let me tell ya...that lake effect weather sucks!

Just spent a few hours getting caught up since life got busy in August. Great report as usual Doug, thanks for taking the time to put this together!

This quote pretty much covers it.

"but thats what traveling is about, for me. To see weird things, meet strange people, eat godawful food, get lost, and break motorcycles."

Thanks for the promo code.
I go to the NYC show every year, hope to see you there.
I've enjoyed your ride reports a hell of a lot, I'd love to buy a t-shirt or sticker or something to show my appreciation, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like some RTW Doug bling.
How about a "What bike number?" sticker?

At least you'll know what ammo to take on your next trip to the Land of Lennin.

There's a beer with your name on it once you come to Long Beach (and conveniently, the LB convention center is damn close to the Yard House)

Hmmm... do I clicky on your Secret Show code and save $4, or do I go to Progressive insurance and save $5!
Decisions, decisions....
I do need a show schedule, or rather a Doug schedule for Dallas.
It's only about a 50 mile ride one way, but Dallas traffic totally sucks. It ain't called the Metromess (polite nomenclature) for nuttin.

Anyway, Texas weather will be fine, nothing at all like Cleveland ... and yes, I've been there, but I cheated, I drove my Jeepie thru 4" of snow to get to the show ... I used to live in NE Ohio....BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..

BUT...
We ride in t-shirts all year long her in Texas.

Although......
SOME of us old wimpy peeps...sometimes .add heated gear over that t-shirt!
Take care and have fun.
Mary
