Doug,
When you finally do make it back to Alabama, let me know. I want a sticker, and shirt if you have any, but most of all, I want to hear the stories that you have over some Que. I live in Atlanta, and am ready to make the short trip to your place.

Dean

-1 on the stickers now that everyone seems to think they are the must have....

Doug - love your ride reports, and I may be in the same neck of the woods as you some day as my rides seem to be getting longer and longer... Especially towards Russia etc... You are a great source of inspiration and most importantly, damn good route tips!!!

btw, a group of about half a dozen Maggots (i.e. members of the SabMag.org email list) is heading to Europe this summer for a rented bike rideabout. I've given them the information on your motocamp in Bulgaria (tho I dont think Bulgaria is on their agenda). We Maggots are notoriously cheap, however, so I could see them going to your place just to save on lodging costs.

Good luck, and please be careful - especially in Afghanistan.

found the link on page 14 of this thread (post 201). When you go to the above link you need to go a fair way through it - it's got a lot of Doug's projects in it, that boy has a lot going on!

Hey Dmitri!
Its good to hear from you. I will plan to pass thru N Nov on my way back.

Do you think your friend in Chernobyl can help me rescue a sidecar I found in the back room of the old bike shop in Pripyat? As it was indoors, it should be safe from radiation (but of course I would check it first!) Theres pics of it on last years ride report, seen here

http://advrider.com/forums/showpost....&postcount=257

Having that sidecar on my old BMW would be awesome. Think of the fun stories I could tell!

I'd also like to take my bike into the exclusion zone, and not just carry a helmet in a bag & PRETEND I was riding my bike, like that chick from Kiev did.

Its Ukraine. anything is possible, you just have to know who to pay

Doug

Then you're going to need a new sticker: "Mutant Harley Riders and the Road of Bones".

Kind of catchy, film rights could be worth something, have your people talk to my people...

I've never really thought about selling any of my stickers or t-shirts (well, we sell the shirts in the camp) but the postage from here would cost more than they are worth.

I basically just do the stickers to give to people that I meet when travelling, I like to have something small & easy to carry.

maybe I'll get some extras made to take back to the US after the trip.

Doug
if you do that, you should make a separate sticker/shirt for the consumers and keep those very special ones for personal encounters.
