But even I got to admit that the pictures are spectacular. What they is of 'em. Thing is, if you keep fiddle-fartin' around in BG, you won't need a spot -- walla or otherwise.

Doug,
Great idea on using Spotwalla! Just remember that when you configure your SpotWalla page you can tell it when to start and it won't pull any location data from your SPOT page before that date. It'd be nice if you set it to get your trip data from back when you were in Germany up to the present time if it isn't too late. That way we can see the entire trip! I'm still learning how to use it myself - headin' to Alaska this Saturday on a meandering route and am using it myself. Just curious how many days you get out of the lithium batteries when you use your spot in TRACK mode? I want to make sure I carry enough with me so that I don't have dead batteries in the middle of Canuckistan. Dave in Tampa Quote:

I dont use lithium batteries, so I dunno. I use rechargables, & have 2 sets. they last 2-3 days on a charge, tracking all day.
seemed a waste to buy lithiums that I have to replace. Plus, finding them in turkmenistan etc, could be a problem Doug

The rechargeable AA batteries sound reasonable to me.....why complicate matters ?
Motohistory article is funny Doug.... You're gonna need an agent soon my friend ! Ohhh ... seven years of hard luck, comin' down on me From the Florida border, yes, up to Nashville Tennessee I worked in every joint you can name, yessuh, every honkytonk Along come Mister Yankee Slicker, sayin' maybe you what I want Want you to sign your contract Want you to sign today Gonna give you lots of money Workin' for MCA Ohhh ... nine thousand dollars, that's all we could win But we smiled at the Yankee Slicker with a big ol' Southern grin They're gonna take me out to California, gonna make me a superstar Just pay me all my money and maybe you won't get a scar So... if you need representation....I think I know an Honest Alabama Lawyer who can help you out ! Ride on brother...enjoying your updates

Loved the article about the Dirtster. I wonder how many people will believe it and start hounding HD for release dates.
