I met up with Thomas near Mary, in Turkmenistan, & we travelled to Bukhara together & hung out a couple days. Nice guy, & was fun to have someone around for a bit.

I tried to pay the photobucket thing, but it wouldnt let me, because it said I was set up with autopay. I sent them a rather nasty email, but no reply yet of course. However, the pics are working for me?

anyhow, I hope it is either fixed, or will be soon.

Re: the bandwidth trouble - that is caused not by a guy uploading too many photos but by frequent external viewing from links posted around the web - meaning thousands of fans clamoring for a peek at some great travels.

Supposedly a "Pro" account doesn't do this AS MUCH as a free account, but still they will clamp the handcuffs on a brother if he's just so so popular. Hopefully we'll not see this problem too often on the rest of Doug's trip, its a drag to be out of the voyeuristic loop!

Relax about the photo stuff Doug and get down to the Opera House Plaza where the beer gardens are in full flow around the fountain - just sit back and relax, do some people watching.
I love Dushanbe and I think you'll like it there as well.

there's a great Lebanese restaurant just down the road from the Plaza as well.
