After I escaped from the bandits, I was waylaid by a Chinese road construction crew.
The interpreter also spoke English, & asked if I was on facebook, & would post this picture there. He then pulls out a mobile phone with internet & adds me to his friends list.

I told ya I was back in civilization!

I headed to Osh, the first 40km or so was under construction, over a mountain

I caught up to Danny, who had left before I did. He got to Osh in 1 day. 200km on his bike. Crazy!

It was a nice ride

I don't care who you are. That's funny there.

That's cool Doug . I guess, this anklebiter tries all chances on all bikers at this lonely Krygz post.

By the way, rabies shots are now complete and I am back to Tashkent on 19th of August. The return route is first Kazakistan (Hodja Ahmat Yasawi Mouseleum at Turkistan, watching the launch of Soyuz 44P carrying cargo to Int Space Station at Baikonur, deadship cemetary at Aral lake) then Russia (Budist temples of Elista ans a short proleter vacation in Anapa), Ukraine (ex-Soviet submarine base in Balaklava, Yalta and Sevastopol) and back to home by a RORO from Evpatoria to home Turkey.

I wonder if Danny ever met Mike, also a Canadian, who cycled his way to my bar last month after two years and 32 countries.

He should be somewhere in Malaysia by now. Cool guy.

Loving your updates Doug, btw.
