It's a great feel-good story, and the kind of thing the world needs more of. I sure just about every member of advrider (including me) would offer to buy SteveO a beer and thank him for caring about the next generation. But it isn't so sacrosanct that we can't have a little fun with it. Really.

Oh Yeah, that plug. A friend eliminated the key on his 2012 EXC500,wanted it to be more like a dirt bike.
The bike was stolen from behind his house and never seen again. I would think it would be quick with FI and no key to worry about. Bump the button and ride off into the night. Lock your bikes folks! I see lots of bikes on CL being reported stolen these days.

back on track.......
I'm looking for a front plastic disc guard for me 500. The plastic variety, like the style that comes on the 450 Honda's, any experience? I was riding in some pretty good ruts this past weekend and I don't want to bend up disc.

Radiator Gaurds
Anybody have any radiator gaurds they like on the 500? I'm looking to get some and not sure what to get. Looks like KTM hardparts makes some that wrap around the whole thing that look pretty good.

I installed the Acerbis plastic one 2 weeks ago. It is a universal plastic guard that looks like carbon and uses a bike specific mount that replaces the axle spacer. Rode 4 days over Thangsgiving, big rocks one day. Works great about $50. M |
