The ADV Spring Frolic in the woods and Ramp Gathering Festival"( Laurel Fork) 2011

The Laurel Fork campout is under way this weekend april 28th -may 1st. I went to the annual campout the only two days I could, thursday and friday. Here are a few of my pictures.

I'm hoping everyone else will post up their pictures and ride reports as they get back sunday. The pictures I've seen so far at the camp ground were excellent, I hope they post them....hint, hint waynej.

Packed and ready to roll thursday morning...

Getting there and sharing a camp site with ScottP here is his candy van...

advwolf and waynej on wood detail....

The clown doing what he does best, home brew taste testing...Awsome stuff goosecreek...

Fridays ride, this is on 112 off of 28. I was elected to lead a dirt trip which happened to be on my way home.

From left to right I believe thats advwolf, goosecreek, someone whose name I forgot sorry, scottp, waynej, h14xl, and eric?.

Different angle..

Those were from my phone, let me see whats on the camera...

h14xl making some adjustments before our friday morning ride..

A few action shots..nothing crazy..

Some camera phone pics

A mild creek crossing

This trail started out easy enough...

And then got a little spooky, considering I was riding alone, 5 hours from home, and on stock tires with 4500 miles

Lots of this during the trip

Just wanted to say a great big thanks to ScottyP for all he did in making this shin-dig as great as it was. Also great big thanks to Iamchaz for the amazing food on Saturday night! I got some pics, mostly from the Saturday ride; I'll get them sorted out and post them in the next couple days.

Day 1

I got to the CG Wednesday about 10 min before scottP.
I grabbed the small site on the east side of the river.

There was easy access to a good swimming hole, so Kato liked it too.

Later that afternoon, AdvWolf, goosecreek, and GSA PILOT arrived.

This was the CG wednesday evening.

scottP provides the first nights entertainment.

Besides me, this was the first nights frolickers.
goosecreek, AdvWolf, scottP, and GSA PILOT.

While we were sampling some home brew...

"Walter" and family drove in. They had the Taj Mahal in the back of their truck.

They got the Taj up just in time to find out how waterproof it was. It rained buckets Wednesday night. Everyone's gear did its job and we were all dry the next morning.

The river rose about 3 feet overnight.

Day 2 photos in a couple of hours.

Get ready to meet the Ramp Rangers.
