Well it has been relocated in the Skunkworks northern facility.
My neighbour has seen the picture from Rhys and is in rapid tear down mode

He has been polishing and we will be rebuilding this one up into a brat style bike. I WILL NOT be riding it

Had a good progress on the DRZ with the steering head bearing and forks installed.
I have dismanted the rear subframe and will be looking for some silver paint to repaint it, as it is pretty scuffed. The subframe was sitting on there prior to cleaning.

Time flies... before you know it, it's Hello Kitty then goodbye mom & dad!

Wow Pezz, that's coming along really nicely... It's a bit like my attempt at some new sesame street wallpaper and matching Big Bird border motif for the girls nursery a few years back...?

They really appreciated that I had it all finished in time for the senior graduation ball...?

Well,

What can I say, but Im a sucker for a free bike!!
I also go weak at my knee, when its a potential Scrapper

Well one such unsensible beast is on route to the Skunkworks, and as the next Scrapheap will be in September 2014. I have 12 months for the build. The XR460/4 is going on display and the new beast will be built combining RG250 with PE250. 21" front 18" rear . . .
I wonder what sort of love child this will turn out to be??

Huh...? You're gonna' put what into a where now... and why?

This conjures up memories of Paul Wright's RZ 350 engined CR 250 framed Safari bike back @ 1990-ish...

Seemed like a good idea at the time...

... it proved not to be the case.

Good luck with the frankenstein transplanting Pezz!

Rhys, It is going to be an interesting build and wondering what it will handle like. If I can make it work on the RG chassis it will save a lot of fabrication. If that doesnt work out I will look at stretching the PE chassis to fit the RG in there. . . . .

G'day Troy

You dont happen to have a photo of Pauls RZ-CR do you?

Come on guys, they're only Suzukis.

Not like he is going to damage a Kawasaki or anything.

Frame looks pretty easy to cut and stretch. Thinking rear of the spine at the back fo the fuel tank before it spilts, then bottom of the front down tube.

Weapon of choice

Laugh off with his head...

The RG 250 Gamma, and an original PE 250B (steel tank I saw on bench), restoring either of them would be a noble gesture, restoring both would qualify as sainthood... But cutting BOTH of them up, to fuse them together in an incestual laboratory experiment is just plain barbaric Pezz.

And don't - whatever you do - listen to that green little Kawasaki hunchback over there in the corner - tREV, he's just oggling of the "I'm Igor's apprentice" t-shirt for the next scappers ride.

So how's the DRZ coming along anyway...

Ummm... no (used to)... but even if I did, with the knowledge of what you are contemplating... there is no way in good conscience that I could bring myself to show it to you...

This is an air cooled RD engine in an old DT(?) frame I found on the net somewhere years ago. Always liked this bike
