I definitely appreciate what we have.... of course your state has quite a gem with the Blue Ridge Parkway... would love to make it down again someday if I can ever find a reliable farm-sitter again.

Some more sunrise trail (hopefully will finish this up tomorrow as we are planning to head up Kingsbury way on Sunday. Didn't seem like I was taking this many pics when we were riding) This is heading out from Machias

Wow, I am loving this thread. I have a camp in Moscow on Chase Pd. so a lot of the areas you ride are familiar to me. Is Thompson's Restaurant closed for good? It is a shame Bingham has really gone down; most everything on Main St. being closed and boarded up. Funny too because last year I really thought that Skowhegan seemed more vibrant than ever. I unfortunately have not been up there since last Labor Day and won't be again until this Labor Day at the earliest as I am overseas deployed right now.

Kingsbury to Moxie pond

cold rainy day here today- so not a lot of pics....
Shoein met up with RapidTransit at 8:30 to do some technical riding- lots of fun was had, but not a single pic was taken......
Meanwhile, TinMan207 rode up from southern Maine, meeting up with me around 11 at our place, we then joined up with shoein & RT at Tylene's Cuisine in Kingsbury for lunch and a more relaxed afternoon ride.

RapidTransit & TinMan207

shoein's new skid plate that he just finished fabricating and mounting yesterday looks none the worse for wear from the morning's antics

Only got a couple of shots of lake Moxie, and they are not great.... only one thing to do about that..... go back on a nicer day and take more pics!
TinMan207 & shoein

We parted ways with RapidTransit after this- and headed back via the forks, stopping at the dam in Bingham
cool mailbox on the way to the dam! Actually got a little lost finding the dam, and ended up riding the nice twisty road on the other side of the dam

And finally stopped and asked directions, and found the dam....

We parted ways with RapidTransit from here (he is probably still on his bike- long day for him coming up from the southern part of the state- took him 3 hours just to get to our place).

TinMan207 was agreeable to me posting some of his pics- the first pics I have ever of shoein & me riding together After seeing his pics, I've decided a waterproof camera is mandatory for a rainy day (not to mention the 2 I had that took a dive into the dog bowl), so a little panasonic lumix is making its way from NYC to my house

here we are- I'm in front- shoein usually rides behind me on the dirt 'cause I'm not as confident as I'd like to be- if I see anything too scary, then we do a bit of hike and bike.... it's good to know he always has my back

here I am- having fun!

Lake Moxie

me & shoein again

Thanks TinMan207 for letting me borrow your pics! Great riding with you yesterday- lots of Fun!

Nice pics! A reminder to me that there are so many places I still haven't been in this state. Maybe one of these days I will run into you guys on the road.

Hey Jeff, we are practically neighbors-we are just down the road in Stetson! We should definitely get together for a ride sometime soon!
