On another note, anyone know the bike rider that crashed on 580 near Livermore around 6 pm Friday? When I went by he was in a body bag with his helmet on his chest and the bike was trashed I couldn't tell what it was. Godspeed man.
My friend Paul knew him. I think his user name was scruffy here. I think he was from Colorado? I searched here and couldn't find anything. He was riding his F800. Rest in peace, Scruffy. Long may you run

A search for inmate Scruffy reveals that he logged onto AdvRider today… If he was in the accident on Friday, maybe it wasn't him. Also, I didn't see a F800 listed on his list of bikes…

Time to clear the thread a bit...

Went the long way to pick up some coffee beans yesterday.

I think I saw the Golden Gate, and maybe Mt. Shasta, from the summit of Mt. Diablo.

Coffee First...! Excellent. But, where did you acquire said beans? Green or roasted? Ground or whole? See, these things are important.

Ahhh, I'm just lazy enough to not want to bother roasting, and most of the time don't even want to bother grinding though I have a good grinder. I buy 1/2 lb. of Peets, ground #5, and that lasts just long enough to stay fresh for my taste. Plus you still get a free cuppa while they fill your order.

Sorry 'bout that Peets thing, Ben...

I was thinking lower case "s" scruffy. His name was David Gardner and they called him Scruffy, so I assumed that was his user name here...I don't know. His wife's name was Julie.

Oh, and I'm good with the 17th or whatever. Our last Wednesday night race is on Sep 4.
