Hey, lookit that, a 690 that doesn't run.

I *finally* got mine back together and running. I'm pretty sure it's mostly fixed.

Hah! Rob578, Nomad Guy, Slackmeyer, Dave, and Marco. Now might not be the time to mention that 3 of those 5 guys were on Husqvarnas Although Dave does ride a KTM RC8 on the track…does that count?

The 690 was the only mechanical we had all weekend. Other than too much oil in Rob's TE630, a flat on Mark's TE310, and 3 bent front rims on the big bikes (David's SuperTenere, Eric's 950 and my 650) it was smooth sailing.

Eric's 950-

My 650-

David's S10. Oddly enough his looked the least bent, yet his was the only one that wouldn't hold air…

HardWorkingDog!

I think Rob and Dave are making fun of me...

Disclaimer: I have no brand loyalty. I've got at least one of each in my garage.

I'm in the garage yesterday reassembling my son's XR650l and the door is open. This guy walks up saying he saw my 625 SMC and had a question. I have a KTM 690 says he, it has gas and spark but it won't start. Any ideas he asks. Me, No, I don't do FI bikes, carbs only. At that he thanks me and walks away. KISS...

There's been a couple of cancellations, so Dean says there's a few spots available at the Mendo Rally this weekend: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=949437

If it was possible - I'd be doing the Avenue of the Giants half marathon on Sunday... but I am still finishing my move, plus cat/garden-sitting for a friend for a week starting on 4/30...

Eek Plan for May?

We've been sliding further into the month lately, so I propose either next Tuesday (5/13) or Wednesday (5/14).
Where? The weather is getting better so maybe a place in Walnut Creek or Concord with a nice patio?
