Did who break another gas tank? If I recall correctly if was a certain fella named, uh...who was it again?...oh yeah, now I remember...it was that Slackmeyer guy that was riding my Husky when it started raining fuel onto the hot exhaust pipe miles from nowhere

Nah...I forgot to fill up the tank after our Death Valley ride and just plain ol' ran outta gas. My low fuel light doesn't work anymore because the wire needs to be soldered and I don't know any motorcycle mechanics...

I hung out on the corner enjoying the local color while Eric went home and grabbed my little 1gal can. It still had fuel in it from the birthday ride

Hah, oh yeah, now that you mention it, that does sound familiar. Guy or I will have to fill you in on how a curse falls over any motorcycle near me as I pass San Jose. I'm only riding north from now on.
