I spent the first 32 years of my life in the Bay Area. I thought I'd been on every road from Monterey to Santa Rosa. But I guess I never took that little headlands loop.

Thanks for sharing and bringing back some memories. I spent three years stationed at Oakknoll Naval Hospital from '91 to '94 and still miss the Bay Area to this day.

The sun was overhead and really washing out the view--everything in the background looked gray and dark. Super difficult exposure. Then I thought, "Hmmm, if I zoom in I can just get the shapes and structures...."

The best time to be out there for photos would be the late afternoon Golden Hour.

Can't beat the view from this parking spot though!

the coo thing...
BOTH photos really "work"
we were there last summer, WITHOUT a bike (wife, daughter, and me)
love the area... everything about it
i hope that you will add pictures to this thread as often as possible

i hope to have my new hack in napa/sonoma next year
