if that's the old skidoo trail around Ahmic lake, then yes, it's pretty decent

I'd be interested in going. I've got a little land east of Parry (Sprucedale) and I'm hoping to get some riding in up there this year. Same old story though, just not sure when, difficult sometimes with the family. When were you thinking?

Dave and I went for a ride last night - heading in that direction, but I diverted to a trail I had done once before a few years ago (Old Centurion turns into a road allowance and pops you out at Boundary Rd. in Novar - if you make it).
Anyway, most of the trail was rideable. Got a nice pic of a decent portion (where I'm parked) and the sloppy portion (a few feet to the right). ![]() There were some parts of the trail that were sloppy for the entire width, necessitating assistance from Dave to haul my heavy pig (with shinko's) out of the holes. Dave had much less trouble with his KLR & heidenau's. We got through - but I was breathing pretty hard. I post only to suggest what the Ahmic trail likley looks like right now. Happy mucking, YFF's! Short video if you're interested . |

Sounds like something Uber would ride.

That trail looks eerily similar to last nights'.
Funny thing was, a couple of young'uns went past us on little dirt bikes... not a care in the world. Just skipped like flat rocks over all the slop! I guess it makes a difference that their bikes were 1/3 the weight of ours... On the positive side, now I know the header pipe can support the full weight of the bike and me when hung up on exposed bedrock momentarily. . |

the section I did, was a beautiful rocky hardpack trail that turned to sloppy muck, looked like fourwheelers went through earlier so I tried it, got my pig stuck, was by myself and was getting dark so I gathered every last ounce of power left in me, dragged it out of the whole and off to the night I went.
Later in the season, I tried connecting to it the other way but again got stuck even worse, maybe I should avoid going up there when its rainy season
