Even the OP abandoned his own game on page 2.

Eh?

Well, it looks like the game may need a new mascot. Any suggestions?

I told ya fish didn't do to well out of water.

Well I guess since nobody asked me I'll kibitz some more.

If ruralgold had a picture of his bike at the site of the last tag, it would be his tag to take and place. Whoever posts a pic of his/her bike at the last tag location holds the tag, given the cache is lost. And whatever he cares to name the cache is it, be it kid's toy or model motorcycle.

Something that doesn't absorb water is preferred...

Not that anybody asked me...

New to the site and the game so hopefully I'm doing this right.
Myself and Mooseriver, my partner in crime went back out to Dicks Hollow and dug around a bit but no fish face.

and the hint again is:
A little old village with a name one letter too many for ethel is where I live.
They call me old, but no matter what else is going on in the world my residents all sleep soundly

Dr. Livingstone, I presume?

It ain't bad reaching into bushes for critters if you know what they are. When I have no idea what I'm grabbing for, reaching in gets my undivided attention. He's a little big for a mascot, and leaves a bit of a souvenir slime trail in the tank bag.

The tag, which we could consider calling Valley Wild Card Tag, was located here:

Better known as:

Not sure what we're calling the "Money Shot" on this tag.

Bethel Baptist Memorial Church, Route 622 White Post, Va.

Added to the National Register of Historic Places February 7, 1991.

The Bethel Memorial Association, a non-profit organisation that maintains the history and physical well being of Bethel Baptist Church, lists 1808 as the year this Church was created. It is thought that Quakers occupied the site prior to the Baptists, which may explain the date discrepancy between the year the Church was organised and the date on the gate post.

First tag hunt for "Junior", the KLR 250. Went after it like a Walker Coonhound.

New Tag

Keeping with the surroundings the snail was found in, we find ourselves looking for another Church and graveyard.

^^^The Money Shot. ^^^

We found one.

In addition to the Family Burwell, this cemetery is the final resting place for one man who was the seventh Governor of Virginia, the second Secretary of State, and the first United States Attorney General.

Game on.

Money

Found Gary here at Old Chapel just off 340 on Bishop mead Rd.

Found Gary huddled under a rock; cold and wet.

So happy to see me!

I'll let him dry out some over night and then set up a new tag tomorrow.

Good. The tag moves on. I peeked in on the snail Saturday, and he said he was ready for a change of scenery. And now I find the mascot has a name. Gary. As in "Gary S. Cargo"? [escargot]

I hope he doesn't represent the pace of the game.

New tag

This place was built by the husband of a sister of a Madison, near where Warren met Clarke, and water is named for wood.

Money shot.

Second gate past the second turn on the left.

Some more hints.
This place is near 81 and 66.
The stare route number ads up to 16.
The water is a creek.
