Those orange/brown stripes on the RS headlight cover..........are the really designd to be the right spectrum of light to vividly appear to deer or do they just absorb the heat from the headlight to keep the lense from fogging?

I don't expect old school to change as the airheads are the majority and it will probably stay that way, wish at least olds cool had another moderator that would consolidate the boring drivel like: Valve Cover Removal and Paint. into a sticky called "simple boring changes for the beemer".

I'd be happy with a new section for old non opposed cylinder motorcycles.

I don't ignore them, its just that the forum isn't flooded with endless repetitive threads from them, not to mention the really lame ones the airheads keep coming up with.

but a fair question. one of the differences is that with the airheads being very similar bikes over a very wide range of years, the questions/threads become very similar.

on the other hand if someone drags out a Yamaha Trailmaster or a BSA 441 or a Honda 900 Custom those threads tend to be much more interesting than the huge amount of "whats wrong with my diode board and how do I rectify the problem" threads that seem to have no end in sight and which seem to be deemed worthy of some sort of special consideration and are for that reason not moved to the wrenching forum where it would seem reasonable to place them.

so to answer the question what is worthy of old school? maybe something we haven't seen/heard/hashed over 80 FUCKING TIMES in the last 3 months would be a start.
