Confirming Team OASIS (two dudes from Gurnee, in a red truck) is IN. We'll be loading and prep'ing on Saturday, early to bed, then up very early (after getting an extra hour of sleep, compliments of the time change), rolling around 4, should be there between 7:15-7:30, sniffing for bacon as we get close.

New Sidi Crossfires getting their maiden voyage, too!

Just finished prepping my 'vintage' scoot for the last GP of the season at KI tracks...only to find out that they have cancelled that event. So, I'm itching to go somewhere. I had a great time at Leaf River last weekend. I'm thinking that this run might be even better. Who can give me a comparison? -Clint

(interesting to me story): 23 years ago I was going to ride a Bultaco at a Brushpoppers Enduro. Snow had fallen the night before. I tried breaking in a new piston and cylinder before my minute came up which was the last minute of the day...60. The three other guys on my minute were ribbing me for having such an old machine on the line. (It was only 9 years old). After 3 miles into the run the cylinder heated up and rotated inside the jug and misaligned the ports. She quit and I pushed it back to the pits. I haven't been back to Morrison since that day. If I show up this Sunday, I'll be on the same Bultaco.

I see you wanted some counts on people coming. There are 3 I know of from the Chicagoland Dual-Sport Riders (CDSR) group that RSVP'd but are not coming. That puts us at 12 for the event right now.

The crappers showed up Wednesday night. The last bridge was placed Thursday night before the big meet'n. This morning some of the B.P. army went out to mark all of the open trails and roads. Tomorrow we preride, divide up and attack anything needing touched up. In other-words our sh*t will be ready so get your butts here to have a good time.

Please get the entry form from our website brushpoppersmc.com [you dont have to sign in just download it] fill it out in advance to help speed up sigh up Sunday morning. If you show up after the riders meeting we are handing out cliff notes at sign up, please read them and obey. This could help keep riders and landowners happy happy happy.
I was not at Leaf River this year but from the sounds of it our ride will be much like it only with weak or less skilled by-passes [no endless loggs in by-passes].
