I hope all the talk of course cutting is in jest. This type of thing is what caused us problems with LAND OWNERS. Example I'll just go straight through this valley ,why follow the arrows over that dyke, it's not wet, this beutiful short vegitation makes great traction, and I can catch up. That nice short vegitation in several locations was carefully planted and maintained food plots for wildlife. That didn't need rototilling by knobby tires. In short if you have to "RACE" like that the MOOSE RUN is where you should be. nuff said?

OK new subject. My three friends from the north that I talked to at the BUFFALOE 500 we listened, come see me when you get to the ride. For everyone else I'll mention that the food stand ladies have limited suppies and when the well runs dry it is dry.

Hope to see ya'll Sunday or Sat. eve if camping...Moose moose,s dog to the campfire please.

roost on-on the damn marked trail
MAD JACK
I ran into the land owner Lamont at Leaf River Sunday, looking foward to seeing and riding with you guys this weekend, won't be camping this year though, camper is being winterized as I type this.

We'll have to see how the weather pans out, I'm on the fence for this event as I have alot on my plate this year and I'm pretty beat still from Leaf River stuff, I know my dog Ryno wants to go!!!

Rain here last night and today. I'm about 40 miles from Morrison so I don't know how much rain they got.

The thing is, it been so dry a little rain will help settle the dust and will probably help traction.

To those of you interested in getting your Illinois Conceal Carry Permit, I have donated one 16-Hour Illinois Conceal Carry Permit Class to the raffle at the Brushpopper ride this weekend.

To anyone who may be interested in taking the class, check out my website at www.IllinoisFirearmSafety.com or email me at training@illinoisfirearmsafety.com Classes are held in Schaumburg, and the shooting qualification is in Lombard.

I look forward to riding with all of you next weekend.

Green Arrows will be for by-passes. These are for you if you've never raced, don't have mad skills and or poor equipment or set up. Use them to avoid problems and trail destruction.

If you eat your steak;

rare to raw

with your bare hands

while snarling and growling

ignore these.

The cable bridge is no teenager at 25 years young and should only be crossed one at a time with no jumping off the end. the clothes lining ribbon at the exit will help enforce this.

Please ride slowly on the roads and watch out for farm equipment and other vehicles they could very well be land owners.
Stopping at road crossings will help keep everyone safe. We will not have people stationed at the roads this year. pay attention to the arrows and ride safe.

I've been asked if there is a prize for first bike in:
yes but you have to be at the Moose Run
a shot gun blast of rock salt for racing on the road
a loader tractor smashing your bike for not understanding dual sport
a trip to the hospital from the clothes lining ribbon

Or remember this is not a hare scramble or laid out as one. Racing your friends is cool in the offroad sections but only if you stay in control and on the arrowed trail.

hint;early sign-up may just get the worm.

My brother is coming out of retirement to ride this on my suzuki Exxon ValDRZe....aka.. the mobile Husky refueling station. Some may remember him racing enduros in the 70's & 80's on huskys. He'll be riding with his son and daughters boyfriend hopefully they take care of each other.

roost'n down for the evening

Just talked to someone with weather recording equipment near the trails 1 1/2" rain total. Things should be good. Some of the Brush Popper army stopped in this morning to get supplies to go work the trails. Larger # going out Sat. morning to finalize everything. As in once again the plan is working.
