Very nice picture! Beautiful oldie! I don't think I've ever seen one in dark green like that before. Is that a factory color from back then? Most of 'em were black.

German green in town police 250 cc. I'm the third owner, after two German municipalities. I received all the paper work that accompanied the purchase that tells which municipalities the bike was assigned to; I bought it in Munchen in 1974. Rode it to London, had it shipped over to the states and have owned it ever since. All original, including the paint.
An interesting side note...the pin striping back then was all hand done. If it is the original striping the person who did it will have their initials painted on the underside of the tank...which this does.

Nice bikes. I'm guessing the 250 will still be rideable in 2050. I'm not sure about the 2014. Once the gremlins get in the electronics it will be toast.

The R27 is a 1964 model, the K1200 RS is a 2003. The '64 has zilch for electronics, the K has some, but not tooooo bad. 'cept the ABS might need some attention in 2050, and by then I'll be 94 years old so I'm not going to sweat it too much.
