Thanks Sam. And sorry about your challenge shot having Mike peeing in it I tried moving the shot, but it just didn't look right. This was clearly the better alternative

Part III

WEll Alrighty, I have finished up the final video highlight of the ride. I just wanted to say it was a very enjoyable ride and to meet new faces of those other gregarious types out there; hope our paths cross again. See you all out there.

Please feel free to add you pictures and comments..

Nice scenery Sam. Looks like perfect roads for the 990. What were you doing on the DRZ?

Trust me I was wondering that myself. I kept thinking why am I not on "Moya" the big Katoom.

Actually, I figured by riding the DRZ I would keep slowed down better so as not to rubber band the the group I did ride half of it on the 990 the day before (just cause) at a much increased pace. I kept it around 40 to 50 I rode the big bike running 60-65 ish sorta...

WOW Mike, Funny, I was just down at Happy Trail the other day and I asked Ed where you went and he said you moved back east...... well that's pretty far east. You must have moved while I was in Hawaii. Well sir I made my decision I'd rather be broke here than anywhere else. home is where the heart is and that for me is the PNW, but I like to go visit, maybe I road trip over and knock on your door sometime.

Good the hear from you, hope all is well. I hope your not getting too claustrophobic in all those trees and what do you mean NO Dirt?

See what your missing

Take good care of yourself!

See you out there

Mauna Kea 200 in 48 Hours

Hey Sam! Good to see you guys are enjoying yourselves back east, I just got back home Tuesday (hellish trip of cancelled flights, lost bags, and sleeping in terminals) going to be here for 10 days and knock out the MK200 then pack the household and head back to Germany. Hop a plane and get to Hilo, they can always use additional course workers and Gasser is putting on a big BBQ Monday!

Great to hear from you man!! I stop off to lurk in the Hawaii thread from time to time and you were in Germany ... so, what up? and what's this pack the household?

Yea I was actually thinking of coming over to visit but I lost Inga's phone # to call and see if the bungalow would be available, I really need to warm up. Gasser having a Barbie he does it right; everyone will be there.

Mahalo, for checking in.

Taking a job in Wiesbaden for a short stint, pretty much an opportunity we couldn't let pass.

The MK200 was brutal! I won the Masters B Class, I think that due more to attrition than talent my goal was to finish and most of the field DQ'd though I didn't pick up too many points in the forest.

PM'd you mom's contact info.
