Glad everyone is enjoying this. So let's get on with it.

Turns out that "little hill" wasn't really all that little. From where we stopped on the video, it continued to climb, without stopping, for maybe another half mile.

At the top, the trail was completely blocked by a downed tree.

So I started working on a way to get by. There was no evidence of any bikes getting by this one and once we got on the downhill side it looked like we were making the first tracks of the season.
Once WHYNOWTHEN & Traveltoad showed up, we used the bypass I had found.

I need to mention here that going around downed trees is the least preferred method of getting by. The first is ride over them. The second is cut them out of the way. Just sayin'

And headed down an even longer downhill. So Fun!

Almost at the bottom we pause to take in the view. You can see our next climb going up to that saddle. We still have a ways to go.

Trail

It's hard to see in this photo but if you overcook this corner, you'll freefall about 20' and land at the bottom of a beautiful little waterfall.

These boulders fell on Peter and were pushing him off the trail!!! I totally saved his life!!! But I was the one that dislodged the boulders.Guess you had to be there.

As we headed towards Brush creek, the brush got thicker.

Rider914 had reported that Brush Creek was running fast & deep a week earlier and WHYNOWTHEN reported that it still was today.

Peter suggested we push the bikes across dead motor to avoid sucking water. Good plan! We got The Mighty Beta across without incident.

Next up, Aaron & Peter pushed Peter's bike across no problem.

Rather Boring....

Next up was Aaron's KTM.....Not Boring

Awesome

Peter seems to think so too.

Once across the bike started right up.

After letting Traveltoad dry out a little we still had one more stretch of single track left before hitting the road. Here it is. Big thanks to WHYNOWTHEN & Traveltoad for the superfun ride. Let's go again....soon!

I didn't even know I had kicked your wheel until I saw the video. It wasn't a conscious decision, just pure reflex. But that's only because my reflexes are quicker than my decision making. If I had time to think of it, I still would have done it.

You'll get your chance to return the favor.

BTW thanks for wearing that camera all day. You got some really fun footage.
