i am planning to come... which weekend isn't an issue for me, with the earliest being june 24..... same as last trip, friday before the weekend will be when i know i can go for sure.

i have some other issues also, Misty won't get off work till 5pm, maybe she can leave at 4... but if stayin at iron horse, that like a 4 hr ride, pretty sure she wont be up for that if she rides with me..... but i'm trying to figure it all out....

well I was thinking of the poll more as a way to keep tabs on what people can/would like to do. We won't necessarily just do what most people want (according to the poll) if we can do something else and everyone still be happy (and get to come)

side note: I'm really glad Misty has been riding some lately

De-Lurk & Ride

I'm a long time lurker and infrequent poster. I might be interested in meeting up with some ADV guys for a ride in the mountains. I don't really know much about, nor care much about where we stay, but the weekend of the 24th works well for me.

Saterday morning breakfast at Holly Springs store (Hwy11 & 178) down 11 from Table rock would be a good plan to allow late commers to gather.

I'm watching this with interest. As for local roads, a poster named Freecat (DL650) lives in Sylva and knows a lot of local roads with lots of tight stuff and little traffic. I know Cullowhee Mtn Rd is one of them.

If anyone was thinking I was going after any one I wasn't. I lived n Banner Elk in 88-89 and still know roads in the area. But things have changed alot since then.
If any locals in the mountins of NC want to give pointers please speek up.
Thanks in advance.

do we need to?

We certainly can

Right now it looks like most people can do it on the 24th, but if these people pipe up and say they can do it other times .... then sure

Can I get a response?

Riding focus

Is this going to be a heavy toward the pavement event or possibly two ride groups that break up into dirt and pavement?

if we have enough interest to make two groups than that would be great- we will need a tally on those who plan to come and what they plan to ride-

I am A-Ok for any weekend in the poll and I am also A-Ok for any and all types of roads/trails/point me in that direction and I bet I can get there in less tries than you

how about everyone else

If the ride is split so there's a dirt oriented group I'd be interested. I'd volunteer to help lead or tail sweep if that would be beneficial. The later the date the better, but the 24th would work if that's what works for everyone else.
