I purchased it from the second owner...says the original owner put 90,000 on it commuting every day, and had an Excel spreadsheet with all the maintenance, done at BMW. I should be receiving a copy soon.

I couldn't pass up the price (only way I could afford getting on a bike like this), and luckily it runs and rides great

Truth be known I have gone thru ....

Water Pump
Clutch (my fault, bar risers without longer clutch cable)
Head Lamp (reflector burn)
Rear Wheel Bearings (again my fault, did not know about replacing spacers now and again)
4 Sets of Rear Brake Shoes
Just now Replacing Front
4 Chain/Sprocket Sets
Left Heated Grip
4 Sets of Rear Wheel Spacers

All Very Much Worth It !!!!

Love this bike!

(although I would love more HP)
I must be missing something. With just over 50k on mine I am getting ready to do the clutch when my parts come in, chains and sprockets about every 12K, my left heated handgrip is also out (we didnt have enough of a winter to bother replacing it).

What is it about the spacers? I have not replaced mine and I am wondering if I missed something there. I do not have any play in my rear bearings but they do feel a little grainy and I was thinking of replacing them..

Looking at the parts list, some of you guys are beating these things up. I live in the desert so no water crossings and most of my miles are commuting and desert roads.

About every 4 years I get the itch to get a new bike. I just can't find another bike that does what I need as well as this one.

40,000 km since 2011. Trip to Inuvik / Alaska, trip to west coast, trip to Utah. Only thing replaced so far besides oil and filters are chain and sprockets (@25000k) along with rear brake shoes @30,000k.

Wife's 650 has 24,000 and just oil and filters so far.
