I'm not there yet. I see the memory card F but right clicking on it does nothing.

Any more thoughts?
Gotta leave for work and will continue tonight.
Thanks again!
Right click the line with the folder icon and User Data, not the line that says memory card.

Well the latest firmware updates were a bust for me so far. 4.8 and 4.9 still have the screen sensitivity issue with gloves. Although it's not as bad.

I had a chance to check out 4.9 all day yesterday. With routing I no longer get a distance to next and turn direction with the nuvi dashboard. I had a couple of random shutdowns.

Oh, it also tells me I'm off route when traveling a section of road that has been around since the 50's. It did this all the time until the early 4.x updates.

I guess it's back to 4.6 for a while longer.

Oh, it also lost the satellites a few times. I'm chalking that up to solar flare activity at this point.

I am having this very issue recently. I was suspecting the antenna is loose inside on the board. Why do you suspect Solar Flares?

This is the Maps tab on my account on http://my.garmin.com As you can see, each map has its own code.

Thanks Emmbeedee

I saw those on my account and tried the different codes but none worked. But then if I hit the download button to download it from Garmin it starts up Garmin Express and the process ends up in a error. I see people talking about downloading the maps to the computer first and then loading it to the GPS and I remember it being that way but now it starts up Express and you have to attach the GPS and then it tries to install it to the GPS.

Is there a way around Garmin Express??

If you're on a PC, try this: http://download.garmin.com/lmu/GarminMapUpdater.exe

On a Mac: http://download.garmin.com/lmu/GarminMapUpdater.dmg

There no telling if these don't just turn around and flip you back to Express but it's worth a try.

Can that cause the issue at night when the Sun is on the other side of the planet?

can you make a route (in mapsource) of mixing auto routing and direct routing and load it into a Montana without the gps recalculating the route?

Any info like this is great. I've never left 4.6 and don't see a reason to yet. Thanks!

p.s. also the Firmware info page on the Wiki is nice, thanks...

Same experience with v4.9: "Dist to Next" not offered as an option in the nuvi Dashboard and "Automotive Turn" not showing on the nuvi Dashboard. "Automotive Turn" shows no data when viewed in any Data Field.

Cheers,

Cheers,
I did notice I was not getting any lane assist on a long 8 hour trip this weekend, running 4.90.

I did get left and right turn indicators, however.

Where are you expecting to see Distance to Destination with Nuvi Dashboard enabled?
