I just use Google maps or Google Earth for my mapping and routing needs. That or QLandkarteGT.

Regression testing, how does it work?

Is this why I can no longer send routes to my Montana?

Plugged in the Montana for the first time in a long time and saw there was an update so using Garmin Express I updated the software. Having completed that I sent the routes and waypoints from Basecramp to the Montana. Got the message that the transfer was complete. Ejected and see no maps or anything on the unit. Tried several more time with the same results.

I sent some routes over on Friday. Pretty sure I'm up to date w/ the software. Are your routes in an Adventure (mine were not)?

I don't use the "Adventure" function just high lighting specific routes and xfering to device. Worked in the past before the update.

I may have done it via Copy / Paste. Did you try that? Is there a difference between this and "Send To...."?

No that didn't do it either!

I have a hell of a time ejecting it as well from my Mac! Clean eject won't do it having to use the disk utilities...

If you have an SD Card in the Montana, remove it and try transferring your data again.

Not true, if the adventure is in the root of the database, it will xfer just fine. Bug only shows itself if the Adventure is in a folder.

I just move it out temporarily, xfer to Montana, then move it back.

True. There is a reoccurring Adventure Transfer problem with BC v4.3.3 and the Montana and Monterra. Although there may be a workaround (your terminology is confusing) none the less the problem exists.

All my maps are gone, except for the basic map that came with the unit. Had the 24K SW US map before accomplishing the software update now nothing I am really tired of fighting with this stupid thing. Before the update I could drag and drop routes tracks and waypoints onto the unit from base camp not a problem maps always on the unit. Now nothing, just spent 45 minutes loading the 24K back onto the unit only to finish and find its not there.

Not strictly a Montana tip, but if you're tired of seeing all those store icons in cities when you're using City Navigator, when you'd rather see roads, go to Setup/Map/Advanced Setup/Zoom Levels and turn "Map Points" off, at the top of the list.

Ah, that's much better.
