Maybe Dr. Phil would've helped. "At any rate," maybe I'll be invited to video the ride after the steering damper is installed.

OMG, I can't believe you didn't ride it home. That would have been an amazing ride & bonding experience with your new rig.

would love to have done that
but, as a 48 year old pediatrician, who must work to pay for my "follies," there was no way, unfortunately

still makes me sad, however

Is it just me or does anybody else think there should be a "sidecar" class at the world RALLY championships ?????.

I’m glad you stumbled onto the thread and enjoyed my dual sport build report. Although I thought the build would never end, I enjoyed the whole process and sure am having fun now that it is done.

I see you live in Tacoma Washington. I was in your neighborhood the end of May and a few days in June last year. My friend on his BMW (no sidecar) and I on the Hayabusa / RDS sidecar rode a total of 10,000 miles on that trip. We took a southern route to California, up the pacific coast highway to Olympia Washington (where my dad lives), stayed at a friend’s house in Cody Wyoming while visiting Yellowstone and riding the Chief Joseph & Beartooth highway and then wandered back home. You live in a beautiful state (when it’s not raining) and I enjoyed a few of your great roads. I would love the opportunity to explore the gravel forest roads through the mountains on the new sidecar someday – wish it wasn’t so far.

I didn’t notice if you have a sidecar or what kind it is. But if you do have one, whether it is a road or off road one, you should post some pictures of it with your beautiful mountain vistas as a backdrop.

Thanks for your post.
Doug

I'm so stupid, just looked back at your post and realized that you are the owner of the beautiful white and red GS. Of course you have a sidecar, and it is truly a thing of beauty. I still want to see pictures of it on some gravel road, high up in the mountains that make us all wish we lived where you do.
