May 21st Dehli experience

Had another great and relaxing day in Dehli. Part of traveling for a long time is finding the time to relax and not do anything. It becomes very important to do this on a regular basis so as not to burn out. It is very hot here at 40+ degrees C or about 110 during the day. As a guy from the PNW it is too hot

We get rolling on out day and CJ is making breakfast!!

His grandmother is in the living room and cleaning the peas for the family meals.

Omelet about to be served....

Omelet with Toast. Thanks CJ

and some wonderful Chai tea with some slightly spicy snacks

Bikes in the courtyard now. I had to add a couple ram mounts for the GoPro camera.

Single cylinder 500CC Enfield will be home for the next 5 weeks of me. Two weeks for MoBill

Not sure what the text means on the headlamp, but Chris will tell me tomorrow I am sure.

Look a round headlight :)

And I needed an adapter for all my electronics..... Different outlets. Fortunately all my electronics can plug in using either 120 or 220 power.

Lunch was cooking..... was really good!

I am off to pick up MoBill at the airport in about two hours. Should be great to have him on the ground and then ready to ride in another day or so!~

Radioman,

I stumbled upon your thread last week and have spent a not inconsiderable time of my work day reading the whole thing. I just have to say that I think it is completely awesome that you are doing this. I'm positive it isn't something I could do (I don't deal well with changes in plans), but it looks positively wonderful. I bow to you and your adventuring prowess.

On a slightly more personal note, I lost my grandmother to Parkinson's on December 30, 2010. My mother spent the last month and a half with her at her house in Southern California. I had the opportunity to say good-bye in October of 2010 when I was in California for some testing. I did not realize how hard it would be for me to see her in the state she was in. In my head she was still the grandmother I hadn't seen in a couple years and not the person the disease had caused her to become. I told my husband that night that I wished I hadn't seen her so she could live on in my head as she always had been. Looking back on it, I know that my visit wasn't for me...it was for her. I was her last grandchild to see her before she passed.

Thank you for your work with the Alzheimer's foundation and you now have another person following you on your journeys around this wonderful world. Have fun in India!

Maybe that is why it actually looks like a motorcycle.

MoBill has arrived!!

Went to pick up MoBill at airport. Bit of traffic getting to the airport.

Terrible photo, but as we pulled into one of the many parking garages, there were signs showing how many spots were open per floor. Level Zero 496, Level one 482, Level 2 518, Level 3 558. Saw other parking structures with zero spaces on many levels.

Huge airport:

He rolled out of customs. I told him to look of the tall white guy Yes he spotted me right away!

International arrival. Not sure how you pronounce this in Hindi. Boy my language skills suck.

Meet Our taxi driver, "mohan" who is awaiting for us. He drove me out, waited and returned us to CasaRai
