Mark;
If you get down near Albany please stop in and visit.
I want to talk about Ecuador.
I will be down there in November and would like your input.

Thanks

Yes I have a step son who is now 26. Have talked about him sparingly as he is out on his own. He was just 7 Years old when I married my wife Chris. We raised him along with his father.

He has had a tougher time growing up over the past 6-7 years, which makes me sad. You always want the best for your kids, but as they grow older they have to take responsibility for their choices and consequences.

I did not have a motorcycle until he was 19, and he has never showed any interest in riding a bike. So unfortunately that has not been something that I have shared with him.

Mr. Radioman Sir

If you ever get to the Sacramento, CA area (Marysville) I would truly like to buy you a beer. Depending on who's here at the house there might even be a bed to sleep in or at a minimum a place to pop your tent.

RI House

Wow, I cannot believe it, my wife and I walked the path right in front of your house when we stopped there on a cruise. It really is a small world. We loved RI.

Living the dream

I have spent the last 12 hrs. catching up on your adventure. I cannot tell you in words how much I have enjoyed your story. The highs, the lows, and everything inbetween. Truly, a epic story.
Thank You

Fantastic!
5 of us are heading from Canmore Alberta to Osoyoos BC to enter the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route on August 2. We are all so excited! Popping out in or around Portland then coast it to ?? Wherever San Fran maybe. No solid plans because for all 5 of us it's about te adventure. 2 F800GS lava, 2 F650GS, orange and cammo, and a black tiger XC wearing black Klim Badlands and bikes obviously loaded by mere amateurs (probably overloaded, with beer and gear). Maybe we shall see you around. Thanks for taking us on your life experience. A few hours left on my last night shift, last tour then off till August 14th riding with my extended work family.
Isn't it great to keep looking around life's corners, and stepping to the next.
Ride well, ride safe, God Bless.

Mike

Weekly update.

Seems harder being home and wanting to update my RR as most of the time is spent doing the "normal" American life stuff. But it is part of my journey as I am still "homeless, Unemployed and Traveling the world" (by choice of course ).

Since I turned 50 this year, so did all my high school classmates! Thanks to Facebook it's easy to stay in contact and set up a casual meeting ...... Celebrating the big 5-0 I went from Elementary school, Jr High and High school from my childhood home, and some of my classmates go back that entire time, So it is fun to get together and catch up.

and some adult beverages to celebrate making it to the age of 50!!

Then some Dancing....

Have been faced with more than a few repair projects for my house (which is leased out), and a house I have with my brothers on Whidbey Island. At my house, Had a spot where my gutter had been flooding water out and against the side of the house. So I knew I had water damage and dry rot to fix. While taking care of my wife, these kinds of projects just got set aside, because I did not have the time or money to deal with them.

Started by removing the siding to see what the damage would be.

Was pretty much as I expected, so I need to remove the damaged areas, and rebuild the wall the best I can before I can reside the wall.

On Whidbey Island, I had carpets to clean, yardwork, and many repairs around the house as the salt water and weather take a toll on a house!

But time to cook a nice meal....

But did get my '06 1150 GSA back from having a full service including new final drive seal and bearing! So glad to get my bike back and can ride!!

A little progress today....

Chiseling out the rot, and gluing and screwing new wood in it's place.

One section repaired and window back in place....

Time to take a ride with some local ADV riders!!
