I have finally finished catching up with your RR. What a beautiful place India is. I have to say that I am still in shock looking at the pictures of the Taj Mahal. Great RR like always man! Can't wait to hear about your new adventures down south.

Later

Great day!

Got one section of my wall repaired. Three more to go ......

But it was one of the great Summer days in the PNW. So I had posted up for a local ADV meet up ...... and had a small group get together for a pre-ride.

Ken quick on the camera.... as always.

Then a spirited ride up near Mt Hood.

on the way along Clackamas River Road, we took a minute to stop and reflect on the Memorial Cross for Wes Carter who was an ADV rider who lost his life on this road back in 1/1/2007. Did not know him personally but feel for his wife and family. Rip Wes.

Some ADV riders put up the cross as a remembrance.

Great place to live and ride!!

Summit Lake

Then back into Portland to meet up with other ADV riders.... Had brought Kuluu Hats from Northern India for my ADV friends!

Leadership qualities

One must have a great deal influence to convince that many people to pose for photographs while wearing those hats. My hat is off to radioman.

I've been following your ride for some time, unfortunately started just after you passed through NYC, or you'd have had a great place to stay. Thank you for taking us along on your trip, and your life.

As a former Oregonian (once and always), who grew up mostly in Estacada, this picture takes me back. I wonder how many times I've driven by this place? Wish I were there, I could show you *all* of the backroads up the Clackamas and all of the way to Mt. Hood, or Salem, or anywhere east from there.

Safe travels, always.

Well as I take this little break from my ride, it is mostly about catching up with friends and doing house repair projects.... So after helping a good friend with a slideshow for his MIL memorial service and being there for the family over the weekend, I am back to doing some yardwork on Whidbey Island.

Lots of trimming and clean up.

It is good that I have the time to get this stuff done, but I also miss being on the road in South America. Looks like I will return 2nd week of September and continue riding to TDF before the end of the year.

Thanks for checking in....... Boring at home photos are harder for me to post up ........ But enjoy your summer and I will be back in full force in Septemeber!

None of the pics are boring at all, it's interesting to see the areas where other inmates live. Whidbey Island is drastically different from the arid South Texas area. Been enjoying your writings and pictures and look forward to the continuation of your trip.
