Wellington

Started my day in Wellington enjoying a cup of coffee with Ken and Shirley! Great start!

Then Ken showed me out to Motomart BMW so that Gareth could look at the bike and figure out the noise. Unfortunately my camera battery was dead, so i could not get any photos.

Arrived at 9am. Gareth the service Manager was great!! They got the bike right into a mechanic and decided that I really needed a new chain, and sprockets. so they jumped on finding the parts and getting me back on the road.

Was back on the road, and all the noise was gone. Relief to not be thinking it was something worse!

Thanks Gareth and Robert for getting me in and out quickly before a holiday weekend! would certainly recommend these guys!

Then the rest of the afternoon checking out New Zealand Politics! Took a tour of Parliament buildings including the Executive Building nicknamed the "beehive"

and the Parliamentary Library

Then was in the Gallery to watch the afternoon questions of the House of Representatives. Which was an interesting experience to see the questions and the answering....

The evening was spent with Ken and Shirley's family. which was a wonderful experience! Thanks for the wonderful time in Wellington!!

Good Friday is today, so I will ride north and east to see the area and also head around the East Cape tomorrow! Should be good riding and sights along the way!

Since I pulled the fuel pump and messed with the filter.... I have not had any more issues. No really sure why I got the faults but have not had another issue for 5 days riding.....

Good Friday

New Zealand has a holiday weekend for Easter, so things are closed down on Good Friday.

My Bike is ready with a new chain and sprocket. Looks gold plated

Ken rode with me out of Wellington and up the east coast for the morning before sending me off on my own heading north!

Some Sun breaking through.

Riding HWy 2 north out of town is a nice ride!

The clouds clear and it is some more NZ sunshine ahead!

As we got off the main roads, we had to wait for a sheep herd to pass Ahhh NZ

And along the ride we stopped here....

Will post the video of Ken telling us how you pronounce the word!!

The whole history of the long name

Arrived in Napier in Hawks BAy. Nice warm afternoon

Happy Easter everyone!

Is the chain a little on the taut side?

Not much slack in this pic. My favorite long running series, great report

I pronounced it to myself and in my head it sounds like i was spot on no problem.

I like that you include a pic of the story behind Radioman! If not i would need to google it and would be lots of typing to get that name right. Even if i van pronounce it (to myself) i would not be able o spell it
Love folloving you around. Keep it up please.

You are probably right about your pronunciation being correct, judging by your Norwegian location.
Maori vowel sounds are the same as most European languages (not English),although some tribes pronounce 'wh' as an 'f'.

I'm a little concerned about the chain too...if it's run too tight it can cause all kinds of problems but I'm sure RM knows that

Chain looks tight but it was just the way the bike was sitting. It has plenty of slack :) Thanks for watching out for me!
