Funny how those opportunaties can change the course of your life.

Hello Radioman, your story about your job opportunatey is similar to what happened for me. I came to Vancouver to visit 30+ years ago and by chance saw a company that I had worked for in NZ, dropped in to say "hello" and they hired me on the spot. Still here 33 years later. Funny how that works.

BTW have you had a chance to start reading the book "Fatal Shore" yet?
If so, what's your take on it and has it made you think more about the places you are travelling?

Happy travels

. Steve, it was a Pirelli Rally and I got it in Uruguay as it was the only one available. Seems like I got about 9,000 km or so. Might have gotten more if I was near home and rode it off road. I took it off in nz and went with tourances for nz. Put it back on to ride it out.

Video editing

Mark, being a video editor as well, I know the huge amount of work it takes to go thru your video and pick out the clips you want, add stills with motion, add local music etc. This is as monumental as your trip, well almost. The video sequences in reverse order is very nice, helps us who have been following your whole adventure to remember what we've already read about.

This is becoming a epic and sure to disappoint all us when it is finally over, we all hope it NEVER ends. and it won't if????

Hey Mark,

Just stopping by to say Hi. I heard you ran into another Mark that I know down there. You know I lived in Parramatta for six months in '89.

Anyway, keep up the good work and I'll keep checking in.

At the youth Hostel, had a great evening sharing some travel videos and stories. The other travelers were interested...

In the morning had to get a couple of pictures. So they could send an email home and tell there family that they bought a bike and were now traveling by motorbike

Eva Was nice meeting you. Good luck on your travels.

Then rode back down Bells Line Road. Had a few interesting views of the Blue Mountains but the clouds and mist were thick.

explored a couple roads off of Bells line looking for a better view.

http://radioman.smugmug.com/Other/Ri...IMG_3666-L.jpg

And a few other stops to joy the ride back.

Loved the road signs...

Then back to Sydney on the Friday afternoon to stay at Russells and Nyree's home. Was a bit grey and rainy. Decided to take the ferry back into the city to meet up with a young traveler I met ion the great Ocean road.

Sydney Harbour is really beautiful place to walk around!

Met up with Rachel and had drinks down at The Rocks. Was a stormy night but the harbour was very cool.

Next morning, We rode out of Sydney in the rain to meet up with some other riders for an overnight in Mudgee (NW of town).

We stopped in a small town for lunch before heading on. Liked the sign they had.

We carried onto Mudgee. It was different riding with a small group of riders, as I have not done this in a very long time. They were a "spirited" group of riders I will say. But I stayed calm. Like a turtle. Slow and steady wins the race

Russell kept saying it was going to get nicer.... and it did

We had a great meal that night. Might have scared the table next to us with the topics of conversation

Thanks Russell and Nyree for your great hospitality. Had a great time!!

to Mark and Liz, Richico, and Karen. Was great meeting you and sharing a short ride! Cheers !

Took me awhile, but I've finally caught up! You're having a grand adventure and I'm quite jealous of your ride in NZ and Aus, I've always wanted to go down there. I'm a new rider, just passed my MSF this past February, but I'm having a great time and looking forward to doing some rides like yours.

Let me know if you need any help with Woody's, they're only about 10 minutes from my office.

If you ever find yourself in Denver, drop me a line!

Sunday we road out of Mudgee to explore the area before the rest of the group headed south.

We rode the country roads to Hill end a gold mining town.

And a short ride through town. Lots of Kangaroos to take a look at.

Interesting history and old buildings.

We had Brunch and the group headed back to Sydney while I rode back up to Mudgee.

I liked the World Map above the table.

Sofala

Explored town on Sunday afternoon and then when to the local Pub to listen to music.

While sitting listening to music, I met some lovely local people. The excitement of Sonja about my wandering trip was wonderful

Then I met Ian and Barbara, and they invited me back to their home for dinner after the music. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening!
