Mark, I think it's hilarious that your board, a few pages back, has the word "SMILE" - As if you've ever had a hard time with that one.

And I have friends everywhere that I have yet to meet! It's great!

Mark , nice to finally meet you ! Nice presentation , really enjoyed it . I wonder how many people there were from ADV and how many from dealer or your blog ? At the question time I had to stop myself from answering several questions . I think you covered a nicely rounded amount of your ride in the allotted time . When you talked about being warned about going to Mexico it made me snicker because I had someone warn me about riding my Suzuki to a BMW dealer . Hope we cross paths in the future . Good luck on whatever you do .

Thanks for introducing yourself. I can see why someone warned you

Was a great turnout, and enjoyed sharing my ride with the group. Questions would have been welcomed, as it is very hard in 2 hours to actually cover a ride around the world, and talk about all the things that people want to have covered.... Post up the questions here and I will try to answer them!

Mark

I think if you had 2 hours per country you could share the ride better, but that might make the evening a bit long then.

Presentation

I would love to have you in Southern California also! But, I would ride to Northern Cali, Nevada, or Arizona to hear your tales first hand. Maybe around the fire at a rally this year, two birds, one stone. Keep posting your engagements and I will find my way to one of them.

A question

Considering all the problems (or lack therein considering your point of view) you had with the BMW, not the least of which was the new engine right from the start, would you choose another brand of motorcycle if you were to consider doing it all again?

Would you consider a different sequence of countries in hindsight?

Will keep updated here, as I figure out what is next. I certainly have a lifetime of stories to share!
