I don`t know how you ride so you may not get the life that I manage to get out of tires as I am very easy on my gear. I run 30 psi front and 34 psi rear and find it works very well (for me).

There`s a bloke in the Qld BMW club, who used to get similar life of TKC`s on his 1150GSA. I don`t think I had my GS at that time and I recall I didn`t quite believe him when he told me.

Anyone using the E-09 Dakar front and back specifically on something like a Transalp, or any other bike for feedback on handling, wear etc?

I had an e-09 dakar on my DR and it lasted 9000km I loved it for most conditions! - but a word of warning I believe they have changed the compound so you may not get that out of a new one!

16,000! Wow, good going! I've got about 7000 - 9000 out of the rear scouts I've had on the 990. I thought I was doing well with that but I tend to push them a lot. I've just put a TKC on the front after going through a couple of scout fronts. The front scouts have lasted a little longer than the rears but done I've fair bit of heavy front braking on tight sealed roads as well. They've been OK on the dirt but I've had to watch them with the tall weight of the 990. I'm looking forward to getting back onto the Conti front. I've got a bit more confidence in their grip on dirt. Conti rears: I like 'em but they don't last as long as the Heidenaus.

not a transalp but i've put one on the berg fe570. it's the new compound, done 2780km of dirt and adventure riding and it looks like it's about 3/4 worn. a lot of the riding has been at a brisk pace but not revving the bike and avoiding wheelspin etc whenever possible.

so not hugely impressed with the mileage but not disappointed either. maybe the old harder compound would have lasted longer? handling has been fine on or off road except for mud where the shallow tread fills up and turns into a slick in no time.

i'm tempted to run a D606 rear next time and compare mileage as the e09 is getting up toward double the price!

The E07 stacks up far better when you look at results as a better all rounder, but i like me knobs in the dirt.

Here's some compar'o on different bikes.

Why is this now in Vendors, no one here is selling them?

This is all becoming a bit silly.

Every photo Trev puts up soon with AMCN watermark on it will be shoved in here as well.

I just put on a Pirelli MT 21 Rallycross on the front, only because i got it cheap, and but it feels good on dirt and grips good, on wet tar i have no idea. I'm using E09 rear i get about 4-5 K out of them, they can be sketcy at times. I just look at how far my trip is going to be and get something that will make the distance in this case 4000k max, i expect it to be well and truly buggered by the end, like it's rider.
