What's an ADV?

I'm confused.

This domain is called ADVrider.com - butt what's an ADV?

I know about KLR, KTM, and BMW. I even know about MV and MuZ.

Butt I've never heard of an ADV. Someone please enlighten me.

Okay I guess I get that part. ADV is a brand preferred by adventurous riders who happen to be brain dead slacker types. I'm surprised I haven't heard of it since I generally meet that description.

Now I've got another question.

Up at the top of each page at ADVrider.com, it says Ride the world. Is "the world" a motorcycle model that ADV makes? I'm guessing it is and that it is very popular, or else it wouldn't be so prominently featured.

I hope somebody can show me a picture of one. I heard about Spagthorpes years ago and haven't been able to find a picture of one yet.

Now that I can't help you with....
perhaps Baldy is being secretly accepting checks from ADV to promote their "World" bike?

Though judging by the picture to the right... (which one must assume is this ADV World that you speak of), it sure looks a lot like a modified GS. I wonder how much those GS knockoffs go for. ;-)

So, the ADV World looks a lot like a GS? Wow. I'm hoping that the folks at ADV have solved some of those GS problems, though. Like surge, weight, splines, and breaking swing arms.

Now I know what to put down for my Dream Bike in my profile: The ADV World !!!
