It does seem awful quiet around here. The weather definitely has me thinking about riding - but I'm sure we'll get another shot of winter before spring. Hang in there !

I was out late afternoon for a few miles. The ammount of sand on the roads west of Boston made it just like trailriding!

It's a ways out, but I hope you're following the EOTWR thread over on 'Upcoming Events'...didn't see your name on the list...

Eh? Did we miss Ice racing!

That was cool last year in Mass. Did it pass like some bad gas!
Poetic I know.

Rusty ,

Congrats on your new ride ! A friend of mine bought a New KLR 650 last year. The Red looks a lot nicer than that green !

You should have a blast with it.

Cro Mag listed a quite a few events. Two that he left out are; The Yankee Beemers Pemi River Rally during Laconia Bike week, June 17th thru the 19TH, and the Damn Yankees Rally in Heath Mass on August 5-7th. I think Heath is where I met you the first time.

The information for the Pemi River rally says you must be a BMWMOA or RA member but if you are not a member of either let me know and I'll get all my ADV rider friends in !

Also Max is Co Sponsoring a Dual Sport Ride at the Pemi River Rally.

See you all soon.

Excellent, that Dual Sport Ride at the Pemi River Rally sounds fun, I plan on Laconia too.

I found out yesterday that I will NOT be transferring this summer. So I intend to MAKE time to have some fun. The KLR is much lighter and has already shown me that I'm more comfortable riding it off-road. Not that the GS wasn’t awesome, but you know what I'm talking about
..

Always room for more

For those not doing the Hot Springs trip, there will be a 4 state DS ride May 22nd out of New Boston MA. See the post "Advance Notice.." on the thumper page. The MEME rally will be the last weekend in July. Mudhen, there will be a better Adventure route this time.
Of course there will be opportunities for some good day trips in this area (northern NH and western ME) in between the biggies.
Watching snow coming down at this moment. Went to a local "Winter Blahs" party yesterday. Watching some of Long Way 'Round and Faster on an awesome home theater setup was just the tonic to get me through the next few weeks.
